Donovan's
VGA Planets Super Site

Welcome to the new and hopefully improved Donovan's VGA planets web site. This site is the best and biggest source of information, strategy and much more for VGA Planets 3.0.

After sitting untouched for several years Donovan's went offline in August of 2008 at it's original URL. With some help from the community we restored it via a sub domain at Circus-Maximus.com, where it resided for about a year while it was updated. What you have before you now is a slightly redesigned site at it's new home URL DonovansVGAP.com. The pages have been fit into a uniformed template. Broken links, spelling errors, etc. have been corrected and or updated. Several new articles and a forum supporting multiple languages has also been added. I want to especially thank Bitmask and Cherek for their time & contributions to restoring this site. - ][avok

If you are new or relatively new to VGA Planets, it is best to start at the very beginning in the Newbie section. If you already know the basics of the game, the Information section is a good place to visit no matter how experienced you are.

Regardless of experience, skills or anything, it is highly recommended you visit the Help Pages. They contain up-to-date and detailed documentation on the game and the formulas used in VGA Planets.

As you probably know, a good economy is the foundation for any kind of military campaign. The Echo Cluster is no different, so I suggest you have a look at the Economy section. The Strategy section contains many articles on general strategy, useful to any player. If you are looking for race-specific intelligence, the Guides section is the place to be.

If you are using Winplan I recommend you check out the Winplan Enhancements - new graphics and even an improved picture set for Winplan's Visual Combat Recorder. They make the game even better than it already is. I've also put together some information on Clients, Utilities, Add-ons and stuff for Hosting.

The Museum contains some of the glorious VGA Planets web sites of the past. It currently features the Elite Site, TKF Mission Briefing, Bane's fleet review pages and the Planeteer. More are to come.

Deviating from the core business of this site -delivering information and useful stuff- a bit, you can find some 'vague' articles in the Vaguely related section. In another section called "The people behind VGA Planets", you can read the stories of some of the more famous members of this great community.

Of course no site would be complete without a list of links, so I've gathered the ones I find most useful for you in the Links section. - Donovan & ][avok
