The converted MAC sound library

These files come from my personal Macintosh sound library so they should be quite new to you Windoze guys. I've converted the most suitable sounds from Mac system 7 soundfile format to Windows WAV's.
Just enjoy.

25 of the files listed below are in this archive: macwavs.zip (321 kB).
The other 15 files are in this archive: macwavs2.zip (333 kB).
Macintosh versions of these archives but with system 7 soundfiles: macsounds.cpt (25 files - 352 kB) and macsounds2.cpt (15 files - 394 kB)

Use the WinWavs.txt file inside the archives to choose the correct name.

    Give your torps more firepower and use this sound for TORP1.WAV:

    torp_1.wav.Submitted by Steve Krieske ([email protected]).
    Rename it to explosio.wav and put it in your Winplan WAV dir.

    The Wavs are all off the net. You could use the Shadow Scream as the Crystalbattle crys. The rest are silly but they're still fun.

    Replacement TacCom WAVs

    I have two sets of replacement sounds for TacCom. They are are almost the same as the original set that is included in the TacCom package but I deleted the nasty, ugly click at the end of each sound.

    There are two sounds for the 'WEB Minefield'. I think the original was too long so I deleted some silence.

    You can find a zipped archive for DOS with the first set right here: tcwav_m1.zip (294 kB)
    or a Compact Pro archive with system 7 soundfiles for Macintosh here: tcwav_m1.cpt (314 kB).

    For the second set I used all the sounds from the first set but I increased the frequencies of the sounds: this makes the sound a bit higher and faster. Taccom1.wav, taccom2.wav and taccom3.wav have been increased from 11025 Hrz to 12484 Hrz. All others from 22050 Hrz to 25087 Hrz.

    TacCom Beta 0.50.0
    The latest version of TacCom includes just one new sound. I've again deleted the nasty 'click'.

    Needless to say I used my fabulous, famous and favourite Power Macintosh 6100/60 for this job.... :-)
